Beginning the Conversation: Federal Partners and PROMISE
In addition to the National Press Club event, the Federal Partners in Transition (including the U.S. Department of Education, Labor, Social Security Administration, Health and Human Services, and the Office of Management and Budget) held roundtable discussions with the PROMISE project directors, other senior project staff, and the PROMISE TA Center the morning of April 25th, 2019. The meeting was designed to delve into the lessons learned by the PROMISE projects and uncover ways collaboration among federal agencies can build future initiatives, activities, and ways of working together.

Program for Arkansas Teens Showing Promise: Income, jobs up for participants
Arkansas PROMISE received media coverage of the PROMISE National Press Club Event. Frank E. Lockwood, a journalist from the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, attended the event to learn more about PROMISE and his subsequent article provides an overview of the intervention and discusses the early signs of success PROMISE has shown in Arkansas. He quoted a number of PROMISE Project staff, including Brent Williams, Principal Investigator of Arkansas PROMISE, Hershell West, Co-Director of Arkansas PROMISE, and Richard Luecking, who has been involved in the work of Maryland PROMISE.
